The Nanoose people (Coast Salish) of Vancouver Island B.C. welcome your presence to our online website! Please rest your minds and fingers to learn about this beautiful Coast Salish Nation and the activities that drive its people.
The Tumuxw(land) that Nanoose Xwulmuxw Mustimuxw (First Nation people) occupy is 54 hectares, with a population fluctuation around 200+ living on-reserve . Amongst 19+ bands we are Coast Salish Descendents of the South Eastern Region of British Columbia. We also share a dialect with many other tribes along the Salish Sea Region which is called Hul'q'umi'num'. With varying dialect pronunciations we are striving to revive as much of this cultural aspect as possible.
