Hello! To all Snaw naw as Community members, my name is Leonard Louie the new Band Youth Coordinator. I would like to first say thank you for the opportunity to work for your community and the youth. I have just finished my education last year with a diploma in Social Service. I also have my certificates in food safe, first aid level 1, and counseling skills Level 1 &2. I have extensive experience in working with youth from my community of Chemainus First Nation in which I worked for 10 years and volunteered for 5 years. I have lots of ideas for youth programs and projects. I look forward to meeting all the youth of the community. Please feel free to drop in to the Thi Kwasun Youth Recreation Centre, and visit me and the Thi Kwasun Youth Group. My hours are as follows; Monday to Thursday 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday 2:00pm to 7:00pm. Exciting news we have selected a new youth worker and her name is Janet Bob from the community. I will updating the bebo youth site for exciting projects that I will start up soon, and I will be fundraising so that I may take the youth out on field trips such noted trips include; Movie Night at the Galaxy, Bowling Night, Quwutsun Cultural Centre, to name a few.
